Momentum: calculation question

4 marksStandard

Two particles A and B of masses 5 kg and 3 kg respectively move directly towards each other on a smooth horizontal surface. Initially, A is moving to the right with speed 6 m/s and B is moving to the left with speed 2 m/s. After the collision, A moves to the right with speed 3 m/s. Find the velocity of particle B after the collision, stating its direction.
