3 marksStandard

A block of mass 8 kg rests on a rough horizontal surface. A horizontal force of magnitude 12 N is applied to the block, which is on the point of slipping. Find the coefficient of friction between the block and the surface. (Take g = 10 m/s2^{2}.)
