Forces and equilibrium: calculation question

4 marksChallenge

A block is held in equilibrium on a rough inclined plane. The plane is inclined at an angle θ\theta to the horizontal, where tan⁡θ=710\tan\theta = \frac{ 7 }{ 10 }. The block is on the point of slipping down the plane. Find the coefficient of friction μ\mu between the block and the plane.

  1. (a)
